What AI crawlers get
GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot fetch your raw HTML and leave. They don't run your JavaScript. The skill fetches each page the same way and lists every line of text a visitor sees that the crawlers never get.
It also catches the silent killers: a CDN that blocks GPTBot, or a robots.txt rule that keeps you out of ChatGPT search.
What AI agents see
ChatGPT's agent reads the page like a screen reader does. The skill loads it in Chrome, reads the same accessibility tree, and flags the buttons and links that have no name, the images with no alt text and the headline that only exists inside a picture.
Whether your message gets through
From the crawler text alone, can a machine tell what you do, who it's for, where you are and what makes you different? If not, that's the first fix, before anything technical. The skill quotes the vague line and writes a sharper one.

OpenAI's publisher FAQ says making your site more accessible helps ChatGPT's agent understand it, and that it reads ARIA labels to work out the page structure.
Crawlers skip JavaScript
A 2024 Vercel study of real crawler traffic found none of the major AI crawlers, ChatGPT's included, render JavaScript. If your best line loads with a script, they never saw it.
Almost every site has the problem
WebAIM tested the top million homepages in February 2026: 95.9% failed basic accessibility checks, 53.1% had images with no alt text and 46.3% had empty links. That's a lot of context ChatGPT never gets to read.

What do I need?
Claude Code and Python 3, which is already on macOS and most Linux machines. For the agent view, the Claude in Chrome extension or Playwright MCP. Without them the skill still runs the crawler view and the messaging test. Not using Claude? The web version only needs a browser and any AI chat.
Does it work in ChatGPT?
Yes, the copy-paste way. Your download page has a web version: enter a page, run the checks, and paste the prompt it gives you into ChatGPT, Gemini or any AI to get the report and fixes. The one thing it can't do is load the page in a real browser to see what ChatGPT's agent sees. That part needs Claude Code.
Is this a full WCAG compliance audit?
No. It checks the accessibility problems that hide your content from machines: alt text, nameless buttons and links, form labels, heading order, text in images, JavaScript-only content. Color contrast and keyboard testing are out of scope.
Will it change my site?
Not on its own. The audit only reads. If your site's files are on your computer or in a repo, ask Claude Code to apply the fixes and it makes them for you to review. Otherwise you or your developer paste them in.
Will fixing this get me cited by ChatGPT?
Nobody can promise that, and the skill won't either. What it makes sure of is simpler: ChatGPT can't recommend what it can't read.
Can I share it with my team or resell it?
